8 Home Remedies For Treating Bacterial Vaginosis!


     Bacterial Vaginosis is a very common type of vaginal infection due to the improper balance of bacteria in the vagina. There are good bacteria and bad bacteria present in the vagina, and when the bad bacteria outnumbers the good ones it will cause a bacterial imbalance which will result into bacterial infection or bacterial vaginosis.

1. ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)

     The ACV has the ability to eliminate the bad bacteria because of its acidic nature. The ACV can also help in increasing the vaginal acidity in which it makes it hard for the bad bacteria to survive which results into creating a better environment for good bacteria to live.

     All you need to do is to add 2 cups of ACV to your bath water, and let it sit for about 20 minutes in your vagina. Gently pat the area dry and do this daily until your condition improves.

2. Yogurt

     Yogurt contains good and beneficial bacteria which is known as lactobacillus that helps in fighting off the bad bacteria and helping in maintaining the health of the vaginal pH balance.

     All you need to do is to dip a cotton pad in a room temperature yogurt (since the cold ones will make you cold) and apply it on the affected area. Leave it on for half an hour then wash the area with fresh water. Repeat this 3 times a day until its gone.

     You can also dip a tampon in yogurt and put it inside for 1 to 2 hours. Do this twice a day until all the symptoms are gone. And you can also eat 2 cups of plain yogurt daily to restore the vagina's normal pH balance and to minimize the growth of bad bacteria.

3. Tea Tree Oil

     The tea tree oil contains natural antibacterial properties as well as anti-fungal compounds that can help in killing the germs that causes bacterial vaginosis. This can also help with the awful smell of your vagina because of the bad bacteria.

     All you need to do is to add in a few drops of tea tree oil in a small bowl of lukewarm water and stir it well. Use it to rinse your vagina and do this once daily for 3 to 4 weeks (1 month). There's another option, and its to add 3 drops of tea tree oil and 3 cups of white vinegar to your lukewarm bath water then soak your body in it for half an hour. Do this every other day for 2 months.

4. Garlic

     Garlic has anti-fungal and antibiotic properties that can help in treating those with bacterial vaginosis, plus it will keep the bad bacteria in check.

     All you need to do is to eat raw or cooked garlic daily, if you don't like the taste there's the option of garlic capsules, but still normal garlic is much cheaper and healthier than capsule ones.



5. Fenugreek

     Fenugreek is beneficial when in comes to treating bacterial vaginosis, since it can help in improving the pH level in the vagina and it can also boost the immune system to speed up the healing process.

     All you need to do is to soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water overnight. Drink the water on an empty stomach the following morning and do this daily for at least a month.

6. Milk

     Milk contains lactobacilli bacteria which is an excellent cure for bacterial vaginosis it can also help in strengthening the immune system.

     All you need to do is to add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to a warm glass of milk. Drink this 1 time per day until you see the improvements.

7. Coconut Oil

     Coconut Oil has properties like anti-viral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal in which it can kill germs that causes the bacterial vaginosis and it can also prevent it from re-occurring.

     All you need to do is to use coconut oil as much as possible when you're cooking, and applying the organic coconut oil on the affected area three times daily.



8. Tea Bags

     The tannins that is presesent in the tea have antibiotic and astringent properties that can help to soothe the burning sensation in your private part as well as to reduce the swelling and the irritation.

     All you need to do is to Soak a tea bag in warm water for 15 minutes, put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes to chill down, and apply the tea bag on the surface of the affected area to relieve the itching. You need to do this 3 to 4 times daily for a month to clear up the infection completely.
